Top Ten in Epcot!

Today we are continuing our “Top Ten” series for Walt Disney World parks and today we are talking Epcot! Just like in our Magic Kingdom top ten, we specifically chose to not include food or snacks in this list but there will definitely be future posts and podcast episodes including food in this park!

So, we each selected our top ten things to do, see or experience in Epcot to try and answer the question, “What are the MUST DO things for this park?” Without any further ado, let’s get into it!

Jessica’s Top Ten

#10 - Harmonious

I really love this show! I will say, as Disney nerds who visit often it can be easy for us to look at a new show Disney does and think “It’s okay but it’s not as good as *insert favorite show here*” BUT to someone who maybe is visiting for the first time it is spectacular! It’s definitely worth seeing!

#9 - Frozen Ever After

I was SUCH a Maelstrom lover, I was weirdly deeply sad when it left but gosh darn it, if Frozen Ever After isn’t so good!! I can’t even be mad!

#8 - Creations Shop

I am such a sucker for gear and merch! I love the way that this new shop is laid out, there are a lot of cool things that you may not see elsewhere, and it’s bright, modern and a really good use of the space that was there and needed some rehab!

#7 - People Watching at Sunshine Seasons

If you’re in the mood for people watching this is a great spot to do it! You can grab a snack from the quick service, there’s plenty of tables and chairs and there’s AC!

#6 - Figment

Figment as both a ride and character is so peculiar because this is a character that isn’t a movie character but has grown such a fan base over the years! The ride itself is nostalgic and wonderfully weird, I love it!

#5 - Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure

This ride is so fun and even as someone who gets prone to motion sickness (especially after having kids) I love it and don’t find myself feeling sick at all! We rode it years ago in Disneyland Paris and it’s so fun to see it in Walt Disney World now!

#4 - Spaceship Earth

Like Tyler, this attraction is so nostalgic for me and there’s something about the smell of this ride that I just love, specifically the burning part! If you know, you know!

#3 - The Mexico Pavilion

If I were visiting Epcot and could only visit one country in World Showcase, this would be the one. The pavilion itself is so immersive, you feel like you’re truly a million miles away! There is so much to do in there from the ride, the restaurant, the gift shop, Kidcot and more!

#2 - Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

This is one of the most thrilling, if not the most thrilling, ride I’ve ever been on! The attracrtion itself combined with the incredible music just makes it absolutely unbelievable! It doesn’t ever feel scary, it’s just fun!

#1 - Walking Around World Showcase…At Night!

I love World Showcase during the day but there is something electric about the energy in World Showcase at night! The air is cooler, each pavilion is lit up so well, it’s so beautiful and there really isn’t anything quite like it anywhere else in Disney!

Tyler’s Top Ten

#10 - Spaceship Earth

This one is nostalgic for me. When we visited Disney in our younger years, before we had kids, we would always fly out super early and visit Epcot on our first day. And Spaceship Earth was the first thing we would do and that’s when it finally hit me that I’m in Disney!

#9 - Gran Fiesta Tour

This is very underrated ride! I like it for the nostalgia from our early Disney days but our daughter Gigi also loves it so its super fun with kids too!

#8 - Voices of Liberty

I love the Voices of Liberty so much! These singers are all so SO talented but I remember one guy in particular who had such a beautiful, piercing voice and when he was singing I felt it down into my bones! It was so good!

#7 - Creations Shop

I agree with Jessica that the refresh and update for this whole area with Creations Shop and Connections Cafe was so needed and they did an amazing job with it! I loved Mouse Gear but looking at how this shop is updated now, they did such a good job!

#6 - Land Pavilion

This whole pavilion makes me so happy every time I go in there! Of course the stand out ride is Living with the Land but the whole pavilion has a lot to offer and I love spending time in there!

#5 - Test Track (but specifically the older version)

I like the new version of Test Track, it’s a great ride BUT I love the older version where you were a crash test dummy. That storyline was so great and I wish they had kept it but even with the change to the story, I still enjoy it!

#4 - Frozen Ever After

I love how this attraction is synced so well with the music from the film and my favorite part has to be when you see Elsa in her ice castle and you move backwards with the lights overhead…ahh it just gives you all the feels!

#3 - Soarin’ Around The World

This attraction is incredible for a few reasons. First of all, even people who aren’t “Disney” people generally love this ride; secondly, it’s something that everyone in your group can do and enjoy; third, flying over tons of beautiful landmarks and places around the world?? That’s so cool!

#2 - Walking Around World Showcase

Okay this might be cheating but I couldn’t decide! But it’s my podcast, it’s my rules! There isn’t just one specific gift shop or one specific pavilion that I could pick, I just love walking around with an iced coffee, or a beer and taking it all in!

#1 - Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

This ride is SO smooth! You feel like you are really flying through space! This is my favorite ride at Walt Disney World right now! It really is what Space Mountain wanted to be but they didn’t have the technology at the time, but now they do and they are using it!
