Today we are doing something really fun! We actually got this suggestion from quite a few subscribers and followers on both our YouTube channel and social media in some variation or another. But one subscriber in particular named Katie said “This might be something you already have planned but I was thinking how fun it would be to have an episode where you both create your dream park if you could only have one. So what lands, rides, food etc from Walt Disney World would you have in your park to make it your “ideal” park?” How cool is that?!

So we each compiled our lists for our perfect parks using the following rules:

  • 1 land

  • 5 rides

  • 2 shows

  • 2 attractions

  • 2 table service restaurants

  • 2 quick service restaurants

  • 1 parade

  • 1 nightime show

  • 1 gift shop

Feel free to play along! Let’s get started!

Jessica’s Perfect Park:

The vibes of Tomorrowland can’t be beat!

Land:

Tomorrowland. I love the retro futuristic vibes in this part of the park! The music that plays through this park is kind of weird and ethereal with a bit of 80’s pop thrown in there and I absolutely LOVE it!

Five Rides:

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. It’s just such a good roller coaster and I’ve said this before but the soundtrack for this ride is incredible.

Avatar Flight of Passage. That is singlehandendly the coolest, most unique ride I’ve ever been on and everytime we finish riding it I could just get back in line again!

Haunted Mansion. I love this ride, and side bar, I wish we had the holiday overlay in Florida! But even without that overlay I cannot imagine a trip to Walt Disney World and not riding Haunted Mansion at least once.

Pirates of the Caribbean. This is such a classic ride with just a little thrill!

Expedition Everest. This ride has it all…the yeti, going forwards and backwards, plus most times you can single rider line and just walk right on!

Two Shows:

Expedition Everest in Animal Kingdom

Finding Nemo The Musical. It’s so good, everyone in it is so so talented and it never feels like the cast is just going through the motions. It always feels like they are really putting their all into their performance and it just makes it so enjoyable to watch.

Frozen Sing A Long. I love this show partly because it’s so magical watching our daughter, Gigi, but it’s also just a great performance!

Two Attractions:

Mickey’s Philharmagic. When I think about my perfect Disney day, this is always a part of it! It’s so magical, I cry at a different part every time and the ending is always so cute.

Carousel of Progress. It’s just so weird and wonderfully awesome and that perfect bit of nostalgia!

Be Our Guest has some of the best theming!

Two Table Service Restaurants:

Be Our Guest. I’ve enjoyed the food every single time we’ve ever gone here and you can’t beat the atmosphere! It looks just like the movie which is exactly what you kind of want when you’re stepping into the castle.

Sci-Fi Dine In. This restaurant is set up like you’re in a drive in movie theatre, you sit in a car and watch old movie clips while enjoying delicious food. It’s so dark and weird and cool!

Two Quick Service Restaurants:

Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe. This quick service has such fun 80’s Chuck E Cheese vibes but in the best way. Obviously my favorite part of this is Sonny Eclipse, the audioanimatronic crooner performing on stage, what more could you ask for?

Woody’s Lunchbox. The breakfast here is really good and of course it’s in Toy Story Land which is so cool. If you’re there in a busy time it can be a little hard to find a seat but I still think it’s worth it.

One Parade:

Boo To You. I love this song so much and of course it’s so fun to see all the characters that you might not normally see! My favorite part has to be the hitchhiking ghosts but I do also love the skeleton band AND the grave diggers from the Haunted Mansion!

One Nighttime Spectacular:

Fantasmic! This was my first pick, but there was a VERY close second with Happily Ever After. They’re so different but with Fantasmic it’s such a production and feels like such a special event.

One Gift Shop:

The Emporium. If I’m closing out the night in my perfect park I want to be sure that I can get all the nonsense I want like a mug, pin, magnet etc and the Emporium is really an incredible shop to find everything you could want. Plus, there’s so much cute theming throughout if you take the time to look up and around the displays up top as well.

Tyler’s Perfect Park:

Sunset Boulevard really has it all!

One Land:

Sunset Boulevard. You have everything you could ever need here! You got Starbucks (okay technically the entrance to Sunset Blvd is actually an exit but you could try to sneak in and see what happens), you got Fairfax Market, you got an ice cream shop, there’s the Beauty and the Beast show, you got Rock n’ Roller Coaster, you got Tower of Terror AND you also have Fantasmic!

Five Rides:

Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind. This ride is SO smooth! You really do feel like you’re flying through space.

Soaring Around The World. This attraction is something that everyone in your group can do and enjoy!

Living With The Land. I love this ride! And you know what? I don’t even have to explain myself, it’s just so good!

Pirates of the Caribbean. If I’m picking one classic ride that I can’t ever miss it’s gotta be Pirates!

Big Thunder Mountain. This ride is such a long ride, it has the nostalgia factor and it just makes me so happy!

Living With The Land will always be a top tier attraction!

Two Shows:

Finding Nemo. My favorite part of this cast is Crush, his song is my absolute favorite one.

The Lion King. The singers in this one are always SO good!

Two Attractions:

The American Experience. I always forget about this show and every time we go to see it, it is just so good!

Awesome Planet. I love Ty Burrell and he’s the narrator for this but I really do just love this attraction in general. It’s not very long, only 10-15 minutes but I enjoy it every time I see it.

Two Table Service Restaurants:

Space 220. This restaurant is so incredibly intricately themed. From beginning to end there is a storyline that you are in and it’s just incredible. Plus the food we had was really good!

Jungle Skipper Canteen. I think the food here is so good and a little different then what you’d find around the rest of the parks. Plus if you’re a Disney history nerd there’s a ton of cool nostalgia around the restaurant.

This is one of the best shows at Walt Disney World!

Two Quick Service Restaurants:

Flame Tree BBQ. This is always my go to quick service and I always get a pulled pork sandwich. It’s just so good!

La Cantina. This Mexican restaurant in Epcot is looking out on the water and the food is always delicious. It can be hard to find a seat sometimes but if you can the vibes are perfect.

One Parade:

Boo To You. I love the Haunted Mansion dancers in this parade, and I also love that you see all the villians you dont ever get to see.

One Nighttime Spectacular:

Fantasmic! Like Jessica, I also toggled between this and Happily Ever After but this one won out. It’s just such a spectacular performance! I love the new additions with some of the new characters like Moana.

One Gift Shop:

Creations. This the newest gift shop in Epcot, its so open, bright and airy and I just love it. It’s kind of minimalist but it still has the Disney touches and it’s got a ton of awesome stuff of course.
